Strawberry Fragrance
If you could decide on what fragrance becomes available, something that has NOT yet been made…?
…by anyone, what it be?
I wanted to write “what would it be”, but ran short of one character.
I wish they would create strawberries and cream ( they only have that for young girls), straight chocolate, and straight dreamsicle.
Well, ok, they had Jessica Simpson’s dreamsicle once, but that only last VERY brief time, not enough time to think about it and get it later.
Floris of London used to make one which was as close to the real thing as was possible to get, and like nothing else you can imagine. They took it off the market, and then all of a sudden I found some in their London shop and was told that it was the favourite fragrance of a Very Rich Man, who’d paid them to re-create it and so they had some to spare. I bought what I could, but that was at least twenty years ago. I keep looking – I bought some oil called New Mown Hay off eBay at Christmas and it made me feel sick (I had to have a complete change of clothes and an all-over wash) so somebody please do it and get it right … that scent so reminiscent of sunshine, and warm early autumn afternoons, light, slightly peppery overtones, total absence of aggression (don’t you hate those perfumes that live up to their names, when their names are Sod Off, and All Men Are Rapists, and I’ve Just Trodden on Your Toe …) please, someone, do a proper New Mown Hay!
